AVENGERS: ENDGAME is spectacularly satisfying!
With high-octane action sequences, emotionally rich content, and a plethora of surprises and twists, AVENGERS: ENDGAME pays complete fan service to all our favourite moments and characters. It’s clearly a labour of love, which is a great deal of fun to watch. A fitting end! As far as my recommendation goes – it doesn’t make sense to watch if this is the first Marvel movie that you’ll be watching, and if you follow Marvel films, you’re gonna watch it anyway, regardless of my review.
THE STORY: The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks, compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to twenty-two films, "AVENGERS: ENDGAME."
The film comprises of all the elements necessary to make it exciting as well as emotionally impactful. As a fan-boy of MCU, no matter how much homework you've done, what actually happens, the order in which it happens and the folks to whom it happens will still pack surprises – giving you joy in abundance as also quite a bit of a lump-in-your-throat.
If I go strictly by the textbook, the problem with "Avengers: Endgame" is its plot holes, which are in plenty. Honestly, you can easily duck out during the middle hour, do some shopping, and slip back into your seat for the climax and you won't have missed a thing. But that is clearly intentional, and totally justified. ENDGAME is basically a bittersweet love letter to Marvel fans that ushers in a satisfying amount of closure.
Yes, it's overdone and bombastic. But it’s these downtime scenes that were always secretly every fan's favourite parts of these movies. Moreover, the costumes, makeup, set designs, sound, special and visual effects, stunts and Cinematography make this an exceptionally enthralling movie. The performances are top-rate.
To sum up, AVENGERS: ENDGAME is a brilliant close to a chapter of filmmaking we will likely never see again. Despite its length of over 3 hours, it is a satisfying finale!
