Deadpool 2 DEADPOOL 2 is consistently funny but falls short of its predecessor! With irreverence and cuss words galore, this reckless, whacky superhero (played with immense charm by Ryan Reynolds) makes sure you’re laughing all the way from start till the end. However, more of a rehash of its previous instalment, the film brings very little that’s new, and with so much happening on-screen, it’s pertinent for you to keep up with the pace all the time. Eventually, for those who follow the Marvel series closely, it’s a must watch! In this second instalment, foul-mouthed mutant mercenary Wade Wilson (AKA. Deadpool), brings together a team of fellow mutant rogues to protect a young boy of supernatural abilities from the brutal, time-traveling mutant, Cable. Marvel studios has been presenting some brilliantly real CGI works in the last few years, and this one is no exception. It is amazing to look at and with an engaging screenplay, the viewing experience is elevated to another level altogether. The humour is in plenty here, and as you’d expect of DEADPOOL, its tone is improper, profane and totally shameless. Even the opening credits have such a uniquely hilarious presentation that you’re sure to be amused. The problem here is that it doesn’t feel like a new DEADPOOL movie, as most of the screenplay seems like a repeat of Part-1. Ofcourse, there’s much fun to be had here, with pop-culture references and superhero-movie sarcasms, but the narrative heft that other superhero movies have these days is missing. Also, there’s so much happening within a single scene that you’re sometimes lost in the priority of events. Eventually, it’s the leading man Ryan Reynolds who keeps you hooked. His timing is superb and his charm is undeniable. Also interesting is his repartee with Josh Brolin’s character CABLE, which produces some great laughs. All others do a great job. In all, DEADPOOL 2 is highly recommended for all those who’ve been following the genre. Just keep your expectation in limit and you will enjoy it to the fullest. Go for it!
